How I Spent the Winter Solstice....

The winter solstice always feels like a chance to hit reset before the whirlwind of the holidays. This year, I decided to take a proper break and head out in my camper to the Peak District. A bit of fresh air, some time in the mountains, and a chance to clear my head before all the Christmas madness felt like just what I needed.

Getting Back to the Mountains

Mountains have always been my happy place, it’s where I feel grounded and focused. If you’re into Human Design, you’ll get it... mountains are my environment. So, the Peak District, with its rugged landscapes and icy waterfalls, was a no-brainer. There may only be one mountain there but the endless edges and peaks are the next best thing.

We spent hours walking, talking and looking for highland coos...instead we found the end of a rainbow and a group of deer and stags! It’s amazing how just being outside can make everything feel more manageable.

Winter Solstice Rituals Under the Stars

That evening, I set up a little ritual inside my camper. The winter solstice is the longest night of the year, and for me, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the next one.

I started by jotting down the stuff I wanted to let go of, things that have been dragging me down or just don’t serve me anymore. Then, I wrote about what I’m grateful for this year, even the small wins. Finally, I set some intentions and goals for the future. It wasn’t about big, dramatic changes, just realistic steps to keep me moving forward.

Why Capricorn Season Is the Best for Goals

Capricorn season is basically the universe telling you to get your act together in the best way possible. It’s all about structure, discipline, and focusing on what really matters. Ruled by Saturn, this energy pushes you to think long-term and plan for the things that genuinely matter to you.

When I was journaling, I tried to keep my goals simple and doable. Instead of overwhelming myself with massive plans, I focused on a few key areas: personal growth, creative projects, and making space for what I love whilst remaining authentic to myself... and this is super important to me as I navigate my business on social media. Capricorn season is perfect for this kind of practical, no-nonsense approach.
